Elvira ibragimova is a filmmaker, writer and illustrator.

Elvira studied filmmaking at Second City’s Harold Ramis Film School, the first film school to focus primarily on comedy.

Before film school, Elvira was an architect in New York, practicing for years with SHoP architects. How did she make the transition? Well.

On the side, just for funsies, she started taking improv classes at UCB and the PIT… let me tell you - don’t ever let your kids start doing improv, unless you want them to quit their jobs and move across country to go to clown college in Chicago. It’s a cult. Seriously, buy them some waltz classes or something.

Now she’s moved to LA to further pursue writing and directing after being selected for a directing fellowship at Viacom/Nickelodeon. I mean is this what you want for your kids? How about you just get ‘em a nice trip to the Finger Lakes? It’s gorgeous there in the fall.

Don’t get me wrong. I regret - I mean she regrets nothing.
